Rain seriously foiled my plans to hit yard sales, so I scoured the Craigslist ads to find out if there was anything going on in the thrift store circuit. There was! One of the local shops does a 50% off everything in the store event once a season.
- Ant Habitat, new in box, $2 (perfect for an insect uint I plan on teaching)
- Magnetic alphabet learning center, 59 cents (missing some pieces, but no worries because I have a big ole bag of spare ABC's I got from a fellow Freecycler)
- Baby Jesus board book/puzzle set, new in box, $2 (also perfect for a unit I plan on teaching, YES I do teach at a Christian school)
- 8 hardcover/board books for $1.61 (Isn't that the weirdest price ever? That's what happens when thrift shops have half-off sales)
- Next stop, my favorite Goodwill! Here I picked up 3 gently used blouses for $5 a piece. These are from Lane Bryant, and if you are a big girl then you KNOW you expensive their clothes are! Hubby's iphone doesn't do these tops justice! The pale blue one is sheer and has a delicate flower print...very feminie. The brown/gold top is beaded...very boho. The green top is very well-cut and has a great fit.
- Light blue beaded becklace, $1
