As I said yesterday I am jumping on the meal planning bandwagon with The Happy Housewife. Yes, I have been meal planning for a long, long time. But this past year I have been trying so many new recipes I've seen around the blogosphere that I have gotten away from some of our old staples. So much that I had to sit down and ask my family what they loved most.

The first task was to list 15 Favorite Meals. Next Toni is asking everyone to add 5 more meals to their list of fifteen and jot down some side dishes. So here we go...

Another 5 Meals

  1. Aldi Chili
  2. Easy Pepper Steak
  3. Baked Ziti
  4. Tuna Casserole
  5. Steak and Egg Scrambles
Side Dishes

  1. Spanish rice
  2. Refried beans
  3. Skillet corn
  4. Spaghetti with marinara
  5. Side salad
  6. Italian green beans with garlic
  7. Glazed carrots
  8. Sweet potato oven fries
  9. Cole slaw
  10. Macaroni salad
  11. Home fries
  12. Balsamic Tomato Salad
  13. Fruit (typically mandarin oranges with Asian dishes, pineapple/mango with Hispanic dishes)

Thanks for stopping by! I haven't heard about that skillet corn, but it looks like a great way to have corn as a side dish.

I really need to do this! I scrolled down to see your first 15 meals. This way makes it seem easier.

It is so unbelievably easy! My menu planning is always evolving, but one thing never changes---it saves so much money!

I have never thought to use spaghetti as a side, what a great idea!
