You may have noticed that I have been MIA since Thursday (or maybe not, since a few pre-scheduled posts were published). My cable internet has decided to play tricks on me and so I am World Wide Web-less. I write this quick note to you live from from the public library! I will be back with regular posts soon, so long as a tech obliges my request to come save my life, I mean fix the internet connection.

I hope you get it back soon! Mine went out briefly for about a half hour yesterday, and I was kicking myself for waiting until the morning I needed all my son's kindergarten forms. Luckily it came back before we had to leave, but it made me realize how much I rely on the internet for EVERYTHING!
ooooooo -- I've been there, (even posted from the library!) and it's not a fun place to be. Most recently, my three-month-old printer died and I had to learn to survive without stuff ON PAPER for 5 days. Fed Ex "saved my life" yesterday at 5:45 pm with the replacement from HP. ;)
It was sort of an eye opener for me. I had no idea how addicted I was to the media. I kinda pride myself on not caring about or needing to watch tv or the radio, but the internet is a whole 'nother story!
But ya know what happened? My house is very clean and tidy and we ate great meals. I spent some quality time with my son and got lots done in my classroom.
Maybe a little break now and then isn't soooo bad!
